Analyses have found small traces of whey protein in a batch of Naturli’ Organic Vegan Spreadable.
Naturli’ Foods is therefore recalling the affected products.

“We know that foods are a matter of trust – and they are close to our hearts. We are therefore very sorry that during production by the manufacturer, Grønvang Food, there appears to have been cross contact, so that analysis showed small traces of whey protein in Naturli’ Organic Vegan Spreadable. In consequence, we have of course asked the manufacturer to set up procedures to ensure that it does not happen again,” explains Henrik Lund, CEO of Naturli’ Foods.
In connection with the production of Naturli’ Organic Vegan Spreadable, Grønvang Food tested for both lactose and casein, and found no traces of them.
The problem has been solved – risk assessment
The manufacturer of Naturli’ Organic Vegan Spreadable has now reorganised production, and new analyses show that the problem has been solved.
With regard to risk to health, this is limited to those allergic to milk. The product can cause an allergic reaction in those who suffer from milk allergy. For all others, it is safe to consume the product.
Advice to consumers
Consumers who have bought Naturli’ Organic Vegan Spreadable with the ‘Best before’ dates stated above, and who are allergic to milk, should dispose of the product.
